Taking Note
Kaup Pharmacy in Fort Recovery is sponsoring the program “Better Health in 120 Days” at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, in the basement of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church in Fort Recovery.
Dr. Glen Aukerman will speak on celiac disease, gluten intolerance, osteoporosis, thyroid, allergies, heat disease and more.

Purdue Extension, with the help of a community based advisory board, has created a Community Needs Assessment survey. The survey includes questions about food, cooking, nutrition, exercise, parenting, breastfeeding, adult day services and childcare.

A 1994 graduate of Jay County High School was recently chosen as one of Monroe County’s Educators of the Year.
Melinda Bunger, a special education teacher at Summit Elementary in the Monroe County Community School Corporation in Bloomington, will be honored at an event today. She will also receive $500 for her school and an all-expense paid trip to a workshop anywhere in the country.
Bunger is a 1998 graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington and received her master’s degree from there in 2010, with a focus on special education and students with moderate to severe needs.
She is the daughter of Alice Minch and the late David E. Minch.
