POET to get reimbursement
Portland Board of Works
POET Biorefining will receive about a $3,200 reimbursement from the City of Portland for electric costs incurred more than two years ago.
The Portland Board of Works considered a reimbursement of wholesale power costs and electric charges from September 2007 to April 2009 totaling $3,237.52 for the sewer lift station near the POET plant.
The city agreed to take ownership of that sewer line in February 2008.
“This was a good faith agreement,” Mayor Bruce Hosier said. “We had agreed to reimburse them for electric costs.”
“We might as well just pay it and get it off the books,” said board member Bill Gibson of the reimbursement.
The board unanimously approved payment of the reimbursement.
In other business, Hosier informed board members that the next board of works meeting would be held on July 1 at 10 a.m. due to a scheduling conflict.[[In-content Ad]]
