Pope a man of love, peace (4/5/05)
Editor's Mailbag
By To the editor:-
(Saturday, April 2)
One man holds the sanity of the world together today. It’s true even as he clings to life. It is Pope John Paul II.
His message throughout the years has been pure, simple and profound: To love God with all our minds and hearts, and to love our neighbor as ourselves.
This charitable edict is the greatest commandment and spells the gateway to heaven itself. Without charity toward others we become forlorn and lost.
Truly John Paul II was the right-hand of God. His goodness touched all people. He wore the shoes of the fisherman, St. Peter, with honor and saintly blessedness.
Peace.
Sincerely,
Joseph Toth
