Project developer is hired (12/13/06)
South Adams School Board
BERNE - InterDesign of Indianapolis was selected by the South Adams School Board as the developer for the school system's possible elementary and middle school design/build project.
Earlier, the board had planned to use Dave Bowen of Educational Services, also of Indianapolis, as the developer, but he will not be available.
Board members gave unanimous approval to a pay raise of 9.78 percent and a ten-cent per year longevity benefit for hourly employees as recommended by superintendent Cathy Egolf.
The board also unanimously approved the development of a remedial education program at South Adams High School.
In other business, the board:
• Appointed John Mann to the Geneva Park Board, replacing Steve Hampshire at Hampshire's request.
• Appointed Laura Schwartz Bever and Joseph Seffernick to the Geneva Public Library Board.
• Approved attendance at the Indiana Music Convention by Denise Habegger, participation in a writing seminar by Dawn Smith, Lana Schwartz, Barb McDonald, and Melissa Beitler, and attendance at the National Institute of Learning's national conference by Scott Litwiller, Carol Cummings, and Jody Lengerich.[[In-content Ad]]
