Prom helpers give thanks (5/3/05)

Editor's Mailbag

By To the editor:-

On Saturday, April 23, Jay County High School hosted its junior-senior prom. The theme this year was “Midnight Masquerade.” The commons was transformed into a beautiful dancing area of silver and purple. The students and advisors worked very hard to make this a special night for everyone to remember.

The Junior Class After-Prom Committee would like to thank Kari Anderson and Melanie Stockton, the junior class sponsors, for all their assistance to our committee.

A thank you also goes out to the JCHS administration, faculty and staff and the Jay County Sheriff’s Department for their assistance.

A very big thank you goes out to the community, businesses and organizations. As always you came through tremendously with your generous contributions and it is greatly appreciated.

We would like to also recognize the members of our steering committee. Without their help and encouragement this would all have been impossible.

Thank you to Marla and Bruce Brady, Steve and Sarah Rines, Doug and Laura Burke, Dwane and Terri Ford, Joe and Kathy Fennig, Paul and Linda Vesperry and Tom and Georgia Brosher. Thanks also to all the junior class parents who volunteered to help out on the various committees.
