Prom thanks

The Fort Recovery after-prom committee reports another successful after-prom and wishes to thank the organizations, businesses, parents and individuals who helped in any way to ensure a safe and fun night out for our teens.

Thank you to the following organizations who contributed: F.O.R.T., The Mr. Shopp, Fort Recovery Historical Society, Fort Recovery Lodge, Fort Recovery VFW, Fort Recovery VFW Ladies Auxiliary, Psi Iota Xi Sorority, Ohio Progressive Sportsmen Club, Fort Recovery Ambassadors, Fort Recovery Athletic Boosters, Harvest Jubilee, American Legion, American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Mary Help of Christians Church, St. Mary Altar Sodality, Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Joseph Church, Fort Recovery Gun Club, Knights of Columbus, Daughters of Isabella, Junior Class, Chamber of Commerce, Fort Recovery Lions Club, Lamm’s Insurance, Fort Recovery Lumber, Second National Bank, Mercer Savings and Merle Norman.

The after-prom committee would also like to thank the follow businesses who generously donated merchant’s coupons. In Fort Recovery: Shell, Big Al’s, Tin Cupboard, Family Video, Miller’s Dairy Drive-In; and in Portland: Pizza Hut, McDonald’s, Ritz Theatre and Burger King.

The committee also wants to thank Cliff and Don Wendel for the use of Miracle Lanes Bowling Alley and Kim Braun and Megan Vogel for their help with food preparation.

Thanks to Dave Staugler for the karaoke and Mike Hickerson for the money machine.

Throughout the night teens won cash attendance prizes and received cash for winning any of the many games that they had to choose from. They enjoyed eating pizza, breadsticks and pop. At the end of the night we had 22 winners of various prizes, such as a stereo, TV, portable DVD player, Kings Island tickets, Reds tickets, Dragons tickets, make-up, a $25 savings account and six different cash prizes.
