PTO thanks

Editor's Mailbag

By To the editor:-

On Saturday, Oct. 11, 2003, East Elementary School held its annual PTO Fall Carnival. Parent and teacher support for this event was abundant.

This event requires a number of volunteers, and we would like to thank the many individuals who did volunteer their time. Once again, the challenge was met and the fall PTO carnival was a huge success.

Due to great school spirit, East Elementary was able to provide a family fun-filled event.

The PTO wishes to thank the following local businesses for their donation to the carnival:

Adams Physical Therapy, Aker-Taylor Plumbing, Art’s Plant and Flower Shop, Burger King, Central Gases Inc., Clear Chiropractic Inc., Coca-Cola Bottling, Curves for Women, Dick’s Pizza Palace, Extreme Chaos and Fiesta Hair & Tanning.

Also, First Bank of Berne, First National Bank, The Flower Nook, Gem Randall’s Jewelry, Hunt’s Emporium, Ja-mar TV Appliance & Bedding, Kanoe’s Bar & Grill, Ken Kunkle Chevrolet, Kessler’s Sport Shop, LoBill Foods, Manor’s Foot Care Shop, Matt’s Garage, McDonald’s Restaurant, and Medler’s Furniture.

Also, Old Fort IGA, Papa John’s, Payless Pizza, Pizza Hut, Pizza King, Portland Eye Center, Portland Super Wash, Preferred Family Physicians, Progressive Office Products, Richard’s Restaurant, Dr. David Rohrer, Shear Perfection, Spaulding Chiropractic, Sybil’s Final Touch, The Tin Cupboard, Tire Center Inc. and Tyson Foods.

If we have missed any businesses, we apologize.

Thank you again, and we look forward to seeing you at our next carnival.
