Redkey budget clears first hurdle (9/7/04)
Council completes first reading
REDKEY — A 2005 budget totaling $395,610 was approved unanimously on its first reading by the Redkey Town Council Monday afternoon.
Meeting for about five minutes on Labor Day, the council approved a budget which calls for a general fund of $263,074, a park fund of $10,258, a cumulative capital improvement fund of $9,610, a motor vehicle and highway fund of $57,685, a local road and street fund of $12,246, a cumulative capital improvement cigarette tax fund of $15,990, a continuing education fund of $2,000, and an economic development fund of $24,747.
The budget will be considered for its second and final reading at the council’s regular meeting on Monday, Sept. 20.[[In-content Ad]]
