Redkey council approves tag fees (06/06/06)
Redkey Town Council
REDKEY — Town residents will be required to purchase registration tags for their dogs and cats as soon as possible, according to action approved at a special town council meeting Monday night.
Council president Dottie Quakenbush said the town has established registration fees of $5 for one dog and $2 for each additional dog in a household. The fee is $3 per cat, she said.
The tags will be available at town hall, 20 S. Ash St.
In other action at Monday’s special meeting, council members approved hooking up sewer service for the home of Mary Rees, 9114 West Ind. 67. The home is located near the construction project currently underway at the intersection of Ind 67 and Ind. 1.
The home was already receiving Redkey water service, but not sewer service, Quakenbush said.
Also Redkey police Sgt. Mike Daniels was released from his contract for mowing town property with town equipment. Quakenbush said a new contract will be signed between the town and the provider of the service last year, Robert Bicknell of rural Redkey.
Quakenbush said Bicknell will be using his own mowing equipment.[[In-content Ad]]
