Residents seek recycling help
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
Please help us recycle.
The residents at Pennville Manor apartments, 250 E. Main St., are trying to help save the environment by recycling. We have no place to keep recyclable materials between the recycle days in Pennville, and it is difficult to haul it to other sites each week. At present, it is put in the laundry room on the premises. This is not an ideal situation because of it being government housing.
Please, is there someone that could pick it up every week and then take it to the recycle site on those recycle days? Sometimes there is a lot, sometimes not. This also helps cut down on our dumpster volume. The laundry is always open, so you can pick it up at your convenience. I am planning to move this summer, so we really need some help.
Thank you.
Roberta R. Horn and the residents of Pennville Manor
Appreciated
To the editor:
The Gamma Alpha Chapter of Psi Iota Xi Sorority would like to thank all who participated in the fourth annual Psi Iota Xi Wine Tasting held on April 5. It was a huge success with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Jay County Oncology Unit.
Our event would not be possible without the support of Wilson’s Winery, Portland Lion’s Club, WPGW, EP Graphics and Jay County Sheriff Ray Newton. The sorority extends a heart-felt thank you to all who volunteered and to all who attended our event. We hope to see you again next year. The support of the donors, participants and volunteers continue to show Jay County’s compassionate generosity.
