Reunion thanks

Jay County High School held its seventh annual alumni reunion Saturday, July 26.

This year the reunion was held at the Jay Community Center in Portland. Classes honored were the graduates of 1978, 1983, 1988 and 1993. This year the attendance exceeded 500 people.

I would like to thank the following people: Jon Eads, Rick Shannon and Stephanie Carpenter, class of 1978; Dave Blackford and Amy Reinhart, class of 1983; Carol Bantz, class of 1988; and Tonya Upp and Angie Jetmore, class of 1993.

These volunteers organized great committees to help find classmate addresses, compile mini-yearbooks and help organize the reunion.

We are already planning for the JCHS reunion of 2004, which will honor graduates from 1979, 1984, 1989 and 1994.

We invite all graduates and interested persons of Jay County High School to attend every reunion.

Again, thank you to all the people who helped make the 2003 JCHS Alumni Reunion a great success.

Many graduates have made extra donations over the past seven years to the alumni association and this year the JCHS Alumni Association was pleased to contribute $1,000 to the Patriot Powerhouse and $1,000 to the JCHS greenhouse project. A special thank you to those graduates that made the donations possible.

We look forward to seeing all of you in 2004.
