Reynard keys relay for Warriors

Brandon Reynard's versatility is what made him such a valuable team leader at Jay County High School. He's now using that same quality to help Indiana Tech.
Reynard, a 2009 JCHS graduate, ran the second leg of the winning 4x200 relay for the Indiana Tech men's track team Friday as it finished third in the first meet of the Ohio Northern Friday Night Series.
After competing in the 600-meter run in the first meet of his college career, Reynard took to the sprints at ONU. He teamed with Dan Haught, David Army and Victor Watkins for a winning time of 1 minute, 33.46 seconds in the 4x200 relay.
The freshman also finished sixth in the 200 dash in 23.4 and the 400 dash with a time of 53.26.
Tyler Rigby
Jay County - 2006
Racked up 21 points Thursday to lead the Indiana University - East men's basketball team to an 84-56 victory over Asbury.
Rigby, who owns the Red Wolves' career scoring record, shot 10-of-13 against Asbury to rack up his game-high total. He also had four rebounds, four assists and a block.
The junior totaled 20 points on 7-of-11 shooting Saturday in an 86-75 loss to Brescia University.
He added two rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block for IU-East (10-8).
Joanna Snyder
Fort Recovery - 2009
Led the Ohio Northern University women's basketball team to a 78-63 victory Saturday over host John Carroll.
Snyder came off the bench and shot 6-of-8 from the field and 3-of-3 from the free-throw line to finish with a game-high 15 points. She also had three rebounds, two assists and a steal as ONU improved to 10-6.
The freshman also had nine points, two assists, one rebound, one block and one steal in the Polar Bears' 56-48 loss Jan. 13 to Baldwin-Wallace.
Cori Vormohr
Jay County - 2009
Turned in a sixth-place finish Saturday to help the Ball State University women's swim team to a 154-146 victory over Illinois State.
Vormohr posted a time of 1:11.14 to finish sixth in the 100-yard breaststroke. She also finished the 100 freestyle in 1:04.18.
The freshman teamed with Dana Graunke, Morgan Baumgartle and Emily Richards for sixth in the 400 freestyle relay with a time of 3:53.43.
Casey Kenney
Jay County - 2009
Finished 2-2 for the University of Indianapolis wrestling team at the Roger Denker Open hosted by the University of Central Missouri.
Kenney won his opening match of the meet by a 14-4 major decision over Missouri Valley College's Cody Beisel, but then fell 5-0 to Brendan Murphy of Southern Illinois University - Edwardsville in the quarterfinals of the 133-pound bracket.
In the consolation bracket, Kenney knocked off Cameron Vance of SIU-Edwardsville 8-2. His day came to an end with an 8-7 loss to Wesley Dallas of Missouri Valley College.
Dexter Shreve

Competed in the hurdles Saturday for the Kent State University men's track team as it hosted the Doug Raymond Invitational.
Shreve posted a time of 9.12 seconds in the 60-meter hurdles to take 15th place.[[In-content Ad]]
