Rigby grabs career-high in rebounds

With the 1,000-point mark already behind him, Tyler Rigby showed off another part of his game Tuesday.
The 2006 Jay County High School graduate turned in a career-high rebounding total as he led the Indiana University - East men's basketball team to a 101-86 win over Cincinnati Christian.
Rigby ripped down a game-high 10 rebounds, including five on the offensive end, to lead the Red Wolves. He was also one of six IU-East players in double figures with 18 points on 6-of-13 shooting.
He added four assists and one block.
The junior pushed past the 1,000-point mark a few days earlier when he put in 23 points in a 69-68 loss to Alice Lloyd College Saturday. He also had five rebounds and a steal.
Against Berea on Friday, Rigby finished with 11 points, four rebounds and two assists.

Finished eighth in the heptathlon for the Kent State University men's track team Saturday at the Akron Invitational.
Shreve totaled 4,750 points in the seven events to finish 51 behind Ricky Kump of West Virginia Wesleyan. Pat Woods of Ohio State won with 5,489 points.
The freshman turned in some impressive event performances, including a win in the heptathlon's 1,000-meter run in 2 minutes, 44.89 seconds. He was also the runner-up in the 60 dash in 7.2 while finishing fourth in the long jump at 21 feet, 9 inches and fifth in the high hump at 6 feet, 4 inches.

Scored in double figures off the bench in each of the last two games for the Ohio Northern University women's basketball team.
Snyder totaled 11 points Saturday on 4-of-7 shooting from the field as the Polar Bears defeated Marietta College 77-57. She also had two assists, one steal and one rebound.
She also scored 11 points Feb. 11 as Ohio Northern fell to Wilmington. She grabbed four rebounds in the defeat while adding one assist and one block.
Brandon Reynard

Contributed to a 10th-place relay finish for the Indiana Tech men's track team Saturday at the Grand Valley State University Big Meet.
Reynard joined Russell Dill, Lucien Harris and David Army for a time of 3 minutes, 19.5 seconds in the 4x400-meter relay. They were 10th in a field of 29 teams.
He also had times of 50.05 in the 400 dash, 23.29 in the 200 dash and 7.37 in the 60 dash.

Competed for the Ashland University men's swim team Feb. 10 through 13 at the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Championships hosted by Wayne State University.
VanSkyock posted a time of 1:04.56 in the 100-yard breaststroke at the meet. He was also ninth in the 200 breaststroke Jan. 23 with a time of 2:34.1 in a meet against Gannon and Edinboro.[[In-content Ad]]
