Rigby rings up 30 (12/20/2008)

Tyler Rigby caught fire.

The 2006 Jay County High School graduate shot nearly 70 percent from the field, scoring 30 points to lead his IU-East men's basketball team to a 95-75 victory Wednesday over Holy Cross.

Rigby hit 11 of his 16 field goal attempts, leading the Red Wolves to 52 percent shooting overall. His effort included a 5-of-6 mark from 3-point range as he scored a career high, and he also had three rebounds, two assists and a steal in the victory.

The sophomore also scored 17 points Dec. 13 as IU-East eked out an 86-84 victory over Alice Loyd. He hit four 3-pointers to go along with seven assists, four rebounds, one block and one steal.[[In-content Ad]]
