Roundup schedule set (01/22/2009)

The Jay School Corporation will hold kindergarten roundup in April.

Any Hoosier child at least 5 years old on or before Aug. 1 is eligible to enroll in public school kindergarten.

Prospective students and a parent should attend the roundup in the district in which they live. A certified birth certificate from the health department and the child's immunization record is needed for registration.

The enrollment sessions for Jay schools will be held April 1, 2, 3, 7, 8 and 9, and last about two hours. Each session begins at 8:30 a.m.

Anyone unable to attend the pre-registration for the 2009-2010 school year may call or visit their prospective school. For questions, call (260) 726-9341.

•April 1- General Shanks Elementary School.

•April 2 - Judge Haynes Elementary School.

•April 3 - Bloomfield Elementary.

•April 7 - Redkey Elementary.

• April 8 - Westlawn Elementary, Pennville Elementary.
