Saying thank you for great care
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
I want to thank all the surgical staff, Dr. Vormohr and Dr. Burgermeister (especially those on Feb. 18, 2013), the nurses and everyone at Jay County Hospital for saving my life.
The prayers were going up from everyone in the operating room, and I had no fear that God was there and He performed a miracle.
This hospital and staff are truly devoted to help everyone that comes in the hospital. With the specialists that come here to Jay County, why would you ever go anywhere else?
Our people here are like family and treat us wonderfully even after surgery. I got visits in my room by the nurses, and Mark and just everyone came by. I feel so blessed, and I am getting therapy right here at Jay County and improving every day.

Earth Hour
To the editor:
On Saturday, March 23 at 8:30 p.m., thousands of cities around the world will go dark for one hour during World Wildlife Fund’s annual Earth Hour. Earth Hour is a simple idea. Hundreds of millions of people around the world turn off their lights for one hour on the same night to focus on the one thing that unites us all — our planet.
It is easy to forget how much we depend on the planet for so many things like food, fuel, water and fresh air and that the actions we take — from the energy we use to the food we buy — have an effect on the world. Earth Hour is our chance to make and show our commitment to protect our planet not just for one hour a year, but every day.
Please join me as I participate in Earth Hour. Each of us can make a difference as we care for our planet for future generations.
Sincerely,
Linda Sipe
