School project dedication is Tuesday (11/24/07)
A major renovation to Jay County High School will be dedicated and opened for public tours on Tuesday.
The $18 million project primarily includes major upgrades and improvements to the school's heating, ventilation, and air conditioning system.
It also involves renovations and revisions of the school's vocational education section and renovations and expansion of the school's swimming pool.
Originally part of a larger $26 million project, the renovation work was approved by the Jay School Board in 2005.
It was advertised for bids in 2006, and work began that spring.
Plans call for a dedication ceremony in the JCHS auditorium at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, followed by a school open house with tours of the renovations.
Barton, Coe, Vilamaa Architects and Engineers of Fort Wayne did the architectural work on the project.[[In-content Ad]]
