I wanted to take this opportunity to thank Pastor David Wade and the members of the Family Worship Center. Due to a very strong odor (we believe was sewer gas), we had to evacuate General Shanks Elementary on Thursday, Dec. 4.
The Family Worship Center allows us to use their church in such an emergency situation. The students and staff followed the procedure very effectively. The students were in a safe, secure environment and were well supervised.
Again, thank you Pastor Wade for providing an alternative location to house our students in our time of need. We greatly appreciate it.
