Shuttleworth named Fort citizen of the year (02/19/07)
FORT RECOVERY - Fort Recovery Middle School Principal and longtime Fort Recovery High School band instructor Ted Shuttleworth has been named Fort Recovery's Citizen of the Year for 2006.
Additionally, Hall of Fame award recipients are Ivan Kaffenberger, Ed Snyder, and Paul Staugler.
These award winners, along with the nominees, will be honored at the annual awards banquet to be held March 11, at the Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.
Also nominated for the Citizen of the Year were Ivan Kaffenberger, Jeff Roessner, and Sharon Zehringer. Hall of Fame nominees included Bill Bechtol, Richard Bonvillian Sr., Gary Esser, Hilda Rosenbeck, Kathy Thobe, and Sharon Zehringer.
Fort Recovery Mayor Roger Broerman will also be presenting the 13th annual Outstanding Community Service award to the Fort Recovery Athletic Boosters for the group's active role. Also to be honored at the banquet will be the Chamber of Commerce Scholarship award winner, Tony Diller, a senior at FRHS.
