Rev. David and Deborah Smitley, Otterbein, former Portland residents, announce the engagement and approaching marriage of their daughter, Kimberly, to Ryan Cox. The prospective bridegroom is the son of Phil and Rena Cox, Lakeville.
Miss Smitley is a 2000 graduate of Jay County High School and a 2003 graduate of Indiana Business College, Lafayette, with a degree in administrative assistance. She is employed as an administrative assistant with Cassady Neeser & Brasseur of South Bend.
Her fiance is a 1999 graduate of LaVille High School and a 2003 graduate of Ivy Tech, South Bend, with a degree in computer networking. He is employed as a computer technician with SBD Reprographics, South Bend.
The couple will exchange vows on Dec. 6.
