Snyder helps Polar Bears beat Otterbein

A Fort Recovery graduate helped lead the Ohio Northern University women's basketball team to victory Saturday.
Joanna Snyder, a 2009 FRHS graduate, had a perfect effort at the foul line as the Polar Bears defeated Otterbein 69-54.
The freshman shot 5-of-5 from the free-throw line and finished as one of four ONU players in double figures with 12 points. She also had two rebounds and two assists in the victory.
Snyder totaled three points, eight rebounds, two assists and a steal Dec. 16 in the Polar Bears 59-51 loss to Muskingum.
Snyder is averaging 6.6 points and 3.3 rebounds per game in her freshman season. She also has 21 assists, 13 steals and three blocks in nine games.

Competed in his first collegiate meet for the Indiana Tech men's track team Friday at the Grand Valley State Holiday Open.
Reynard, who was a hurdler and sprinter at JCHS, placed fourth in his heat and fifth overall for the Warriors in the 600-meter run. He posted a time of 1 minute, 26.31 seconds to finish behind fourth-place Randy Hinton of Calumet College of St. Joseph by just over one second.[[In-content Ad]]
