Snyder reaches 1,000

First Joanna Snyder helped the Polar Bears lock up their first conference title since 1988. Then she took care of her own milestone.
Snyder, a 2009 Fort Recovery High School graduate, became the 11th player in Ohio Northern University history to reach the 1,000-point mark Wednesday in a 63-48 win over Wilmington.
The senior, who finished with nine points, scored the 1,000th point of her career on a free throw with 6:38 remaining. She also had five rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block.
Synder helped the NCAA Division III No. 4 Polar Bears lock up the Ohio Athletic Conference regular-season title Saturday as she scored 10 points in their 71-53 win over Mount Union. She added three rebounds, one assist, one steal and one block.
She is averaging 13.5 points per game for ONU (23-1, 17-0 OAC), which has won 22 straight games. She adds 6.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.0 steals and 0.8 blocks per game, and is shooting 83 percent from the foul line.

Posted a career-high scoring total Saturday in leading the University of Findlay men’s basketball team to an 81-60 victory over Tiffin.
Kahlig poured in 33 points as he went 7-of-9 from 3-point range and while shooting 11-of-18 from the field overall. He added seven rebounds, one assist and one steal for the Oilers (15-6, 12-5 Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference).
The junior also totaled 16 points and six rebounds Feb. 7 in a 78-63 victory over Ohio Dominican. He made all of his seven free throws in the win.
Hannah Moore
South Adams – 2012
Led the Huntington University women’s track team at the Taylor Invitational on Saturday with her effort in the 3,000-meter run.
Moore recorded the top finish of the day for the Trojans as she posted a time of 11 minutes, 14.09 seconds. She was third out of 18 competitors.
The freshman also joined Shana Christian, Cendall Ogle and Gretchen Spahr for a runner-up finish in the 4,000 distance medley in 12:56.96.

Also competed at the Taylor Invitational for the Bethel College men’s team.
Heckard finished the 3,000-meter run in 10:52.92 for 21st place. He also joined Logan Kimmel, Justin Nelson and Mark Beight for an eighth-place finish in the 4x400 relay in 3:52.83.
Kendra Brunswick
Ft. Recovery – 2011
Was one of two players to reach double figures for the Edison Community College women’s basketball team in its 70-49 win over Sinclair on Wednesday.
Brunswick shot 8-of-11 from the free-throw line and scored 15 points. She added 10 rebounds for a double-double to go along with three assists and one steal.

Ran for the Goshen College men’s track team Friday at the Defiance College Open.
Lehman finished fourth in his lone individual event of the day as he posted a time of 53.42 seconds in the 400-meter dash. He was also third in a time of 3 minutes, 32.25 seconds along with teammates Lucas Harnish, Brock Gunderkline and Daniel Zelaya in the 4x400 relay.
Kylie Kahlig

Led the University of Northwestern Ohio women’s basketball team on the glass Wednesday in its 91-75 win over Lourdes.
Kahlig grabbed a team-best eight rebounds, including three on the offensive end. She shot 4-of-6 from the field and finished with 10 points to go along with one steal.
The freshman had three rebounds and one steal as the Racers (10-19) fell 90-77 Saturday to Indiana Tech.
Brandon Reynard

Competed in a pair of events Friday for the Indiana Tech men’s track team at the Grand Valley State Big Meet.
Reynard tied with Cornerstone’s Spencer Perry for 11th out of 31 competitors in the 600-meter run as they both finished in 1 minutes, 23. 38 seconds. He teamed with Matt Adair, D’Quan Ruth and Nick Radionoff for 18th in the 4x400 relay in 3:21.29.

Had four of the Huntington University women’s basketball team’s four assists as it topped Goshen 84-47 Wednesday.
Speed also finished with three rebounds and two points. She had three steals, two points and two assists for the Foresters (16-12) in Saturday’s 67-41 loss to Taylor.

Ran for the Ball State University women’s track team Saturday at the Hoosier Hills Invitational hosted by Indiana University.
McMillan finished 18th in the 400-meter dash. She posted a time of 1 minute, 2.03 seconds.

Hit her only field-goal attempt of the game Wednesday in the NAIA Division II No. 13 Bethel College women’s basketball team’s 62-55 victory over Grace.
Hunt hit a 3-pointer at the 9:55 mark of the second half. The Pilots (23-6) made eight triples in the win.

Competed in a pair of events at the SPIRE Division I Invite Saturday for the Kent State University men’s track team.
