Society thanks foundation (3/9/04)

It is with many thanks to The Portland Foundation for the money given to us to buy the sheet protectors.

We are an organization that has a purpose of helping one and all interested in family background or heritage.

It is a purpose that is in demand, and interest has increased the last few years. It enables us to know what our families did for a living, who the unknown relatives are and even what they died of, or how they died.

We are supported through donations by caring people, and we are growing through these donations. We have a staff here in our offices that is very caring and will go beyond the usual to help someone, and we are proud to be a part of this.

These sheet protectors are used to protect family histories, of which we have many, and we are gaining more all the time. They are also used for the protecting of probates and many other important information.

It is through grants such as the foundation, donations and our membership that our office here in Jay County continues to stay open.
