Sorority gives thanks for fair (8/16/05)

To the editor:

Another Jay County Fair has come and gone. We would like to congratulate the Jay County Fair Board on another fantastic fair. Most of us can’t imagine the kind of work that goes into making the fair a success.

For many years our sorority has played a small part in the fair. You may have seen us taking your tickets or ushering you to your seats at an event in the grandstand. As is true for all service organizations, our members volunteer their time so that we can raise money — just so that we can give it away to other worthwhile community organizations.

Thank you to the fair board for allowing us to work for you at the fair so we can reach our goals. Thanks also to the many associate and inactive Tri-Kappa members who year after year work a shift or two at the fair. The active members alone could never pull this off without you. We truly appreciate you.
