Taking note
West Jay Middle School honor roll students were recently announced for the third nine week grading period.
Making the all A honor roll in sixth grade was Tyler Back.
Sixth grade students making the A-B honor roll were Blake Crouch, Jason Farmer, Audrey Hall, Laura Morrison, Megan Price, Raistlin Rice, Clayton Scott, Shelby Wendel and Jordan Wolford.
Making the all A honor roll in seventh grade were Devin Conatser and Marissa Murrell.
Seventh grade students making the A-B honor roll were Justin Buckmaster, Kenny Burks, Jessica Chittum, Adam Coleman, Dylan Friddle, Chance Fuller, Morton Garringer, Aaron Helm, Tiffany Ingle, Zachary Johnson, Caz Lawhorn, Shelbi Louck, Mackenzie McIntire, Jessica Ooten, Melinda Penrod, Megan Roush, Stephen Scott, Kelsey Sell and Matt Shrack.

Horse day camp
A Horse and Pony Non-Riding Pre-Clinic Day Camp will be held April 21 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at Bearcreek Farms Country Resort indoor horse show arena in Bryant. The event is targeted for 4-H kids and will include clinics teaching horsemanship, showmanship and sportsmanship.

Library event
Jay County Public Library will have an after school special for children ages kindergarten through third grade on Friday, April 13, from 2:45 to 4 p.m.
A snack will be provided, a story shared and Friday the 13th crafts completed.
