Sutter tosses perfect game for FR

SPENCERVILLE, Ohio - Andi Sutter was perfect.
Sutter became the first pitcher in Fort Recovery history to throw a perfect game Saturday, shutting down the Spencerville Bearcats for an 8-0 Tribe victory in the first game of a double-header. The Indians dropped the second game, 7-3.
In the opener, Sutter struck out 10 batters in seven innings while the defense played error-free behind her.
Olivia Thien went 2-for-4 with a triple, three RBIs and a run. Carly Staugler had two hits and two runs, and Josie Guggenbiller finished with two hits, including a triple, a run and an RBI.
Shelby Brunswick took the loss in game two, although just one of the seven runs against her was earned. Staugler went 3-for-4 with two RBIs for Fort Recovery, which is now 3-14 on the season.
The Indians play in district semifinal action at Bath Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. when they will take on Archbold, which won its sectional championship game Saturday 21-0 over Swanton.[[In-content Ad]]
