Thanks to a great family (6/3/05)
Letters to the Editor
By To the editor:-
We publicly thank the Nibarger family — Steve, Darlene, Kimberly and Matthew — and a friend of theirs, Mr. Mike, the Redkey Boy Scoutmaster.
This family truly lives by the Golden Rule.
On Memorial Day, this family came to help us clean our 2.5 acres of the limbs that the ice storm in January dumped onto our property.
We tried to clean it by ourselves, but it was very slow going for us. We are 78-years-old, and had no equipment — only a hand saw and a bow saw, and the limbs were very heavy.
They jumped right in and burned the small limbs, used the weed trimmer around the trees and cut and hauled the bigger logs to be used as heat this winter.
God bless such a good family and Mr. Mike, and may all of them have a long, happy and healthy life. We feel blessed that they care about people of an older generation — in fact, all people, no matter what their age or circumstances. Yes, God did make a truly great family for our friends.
Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Nibarger, Kimberly, Matthew and Mr. Mike.
Sincerely,
Joseph and Louise Toth
