Thanks to all the helpers (01/23/07)
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
As the holidays come to a close, we at the Salvation Army would like to thank all the volunteers who made this year's fundraiser a success. Without you, many who are less fortunate would not receive the help they need.
Thanks to Dolphus Stephens and Flo Golden, who organized the high school students; the high school students who volunteered their time on cold, windy days; and to James Fennig of Wal-Mart and United Way of Jay County.
Sincerely,
Denise Brewster, chairman, Jay County Salvation Army (a United Way agency)
Bryant thanks
To the editor:
We would like to thank the following people who helped with the Christmas decorations in Bryant:
Greg Wellman for the straw used for the manger.
Ed Davidson and Larry Ellenberger for erecting a spiral tree and hanging lights on the large tree.
Andrew Ferguson and friend for decorating with red bows.
Jeffery Troutman and Dennis Bollenbacher for the removal of the decorations.
Most of all, to the Bisel family for using their electricity. Also thanks to anyone who helped in any way. The lights were pretty.
