'The people' need to wake up
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
Sometimes reading the Review can be both fun and interesting.
The article on the pool is one of interest in that the city even considers to spend $2.25 million on a new pool so that it can, in turn, charge patrons for the use of it that taxpayer money already would’ve and will pay for.
How’s that for irony? To be charged for the use of something we already paid for. That’s government in action as usual.
Then, there’s the current race to see who’s going to be the next $100,000 sheriff of Jay County as there is advertisement all over for it. Whomever gets lucky enough to be elected will probably now be able to afford an addition or two and a nice retirement for being an administrator of justice.
Also noteworthy are the political articles from two individuals whom both represent the interests of the state. It’s amazing what people will say when things happen then suddenly, the gloves come off
In closing, I’d surmise to say that the people need to start waking up to the alarm bells that are going off and realize who really owns the land, cattle, etc., before it’s too late. Because what’s going on in this country is nothing short of a massive inside power grab by the very government we the people created.
Ask yourself this, how can we the people be subject to a government we created? That’s like hiring your own mercenary.
Is the Creator subject to the created? I think not.
The answer lies within the color of the statutory code.
