Tobe leads Fort honorees

Seven Fort Recovery High School players were honored last week as part of the All-Midwest Athletic Conference football team.
Craig Tobe led the Indians as he was named to the All-MAC second team at wide receiver. He finished the season with 54 receptions for 819 yards and nine touchdowns.
Senior quarterback Greg Kahlig, who missed the final game of the season with an illness, earned honorable mention for both offense and defense. He completed 168-of-311 passes for 2,280 yards and 23 touchdowns, and as a safety he totaled 36 tackles, three interceptions and two fumble recoveries.
Michael Gaerke, Kenny Wenning, Jordan Bechtol, Mark Mattraw (20 tackles, 13 PATs) and Jacob Whitacre (48 tackles) joined Kahlig on the honorable mention list.
Gaerke led the Indians in tackles with 99, and on offense he totaled 36 receptions for 453 yards and seven TDs. Wenning added 92 tackles, and Bechtol had 53 tackles and four sacks.[[In-content Ad]]
