Tourney helpers thanked

The Jay Community Center would like to thank everyone involved with the inaugural J. Gordon Meeker Golf Tournament. Not only did we have great weather, but we were blessed with over 40 teams participating in the outing.

J. Gordon Meeker was a respected gentleman, great family man and avid supporter of the Portland Country Club and the Jay Community Center, Home of the Jay County Boys and Girls Club.

In his 92 years, he touched many lives through these two organizations.

Thank you to all the sponsors, volunteers and players who came out to honor Gordon and enjoy a beautiful day on the golf course. A special thanks to Dick and Mary Meeker for attending the tournament and helping us to honor their father.
