Tracking system pitch delivered (02/27/06)
Jay County Commissioners
A wireless communication system could allow the Jay County Highway Department to keep track of every county-owned vehicle as well as undertake preventative maintenance that may cause downtime.
Roy Agostini, sales representative, and Thomas Fox, Midwest district manager for Network Radio Service, Inc., Fort Wayne, told Jay County Commissioners Monday of the wireless communication system.
The system allows county officials to monitor the performance of the vehicle as well as the driver and provides vehicle location and routing and safety and security service.
The system can be accessed 24 hours a day seven days a week, commissioners Milo Miller Jr., Gary Theurer, and Faron Parr were told.
Miller said a cost for the system was not provided, and Agostini and Fox would be coming back in the next few weeks with a proposal.[[In-content Ad]]
