FORT RECOVERY - The Indians will host the Midwest Athletic Conference track meet this season. On Tuesday the girls put on an impressive preview as they defeated a trio of conference foes.

Fort Recovery's girls racked up 123 points, led by three wins from Holly Brunswick and a school record from Olivia Schwieterman, to defeat New Bremen (86), St. Henry (33) and New Knoxville (four).

The boys team finished third out of four teams with 37.5 points. Defending MAC champion New Bremen won with 131 points with St. Henry (74) second and New Knoxville (13.5) fourth.

Brunswick led a one-two Tribe finish in the girls high jump as she cleared the bar at five feet even, six inches ahead of runner-up teammate Kelsey Fiely. She was also first in the long jump at 14 feet, 8 ½ inches and the 100 hurdles in 16.6 seconds.

The junior joined Abby May, Kylie Kahlig and Fiely to take the top spot in the 4x100 relay in school-record time of 53.5.

Schwieterman broke her own school record of 8 feet, 6 inches in the pole vault, clearing the bar at a winning height of 9 feet, 3 inches.

May completed a Fort Recovery sweep of the hurdles with a winning time of 48.8 in the 300, and also took first place in the 100 dash in 13.4 with Fiely in second place.
