FRHS cross country
BOTKINS, Ohio - Senior Tina Roessner was the only Indian to finish in the top 25 as the Fort Recovery High School cross country teams competed Saturday in the Botkins Invitational.
Roessner led the Tribe girls to a fifth-place finish out of 14 teams. The FRHS boys were 12th out of 13.
In the girls race, Roessner was more than a minute faster than all of her teammates. She placed 10th overall in 21-minutes, 29 seconds.
Sophomore Alexis Sutter and Casey Backs followed in 26th and 29th places with times of 22:47 and 22:52 respectively. Nicole Heitkamp crossed the line 45th in 23:42, and Abby Huelskamp was 50th at 23:49.
Ryan Heitkamp was the lone Tribe boy to make the top 50, placing 27th in 18:59. Caleb Heitkamp was 67th in 20:41 followed by Mathias Koester (80th - 21:47), Adam Pohl (83rd - 21:57) and Zach Guggenbiller (86th - 22:16).
