Tribe loses despite four-hitter
FRHS baseball
FORT RECOVERY - Toby Metzger pitched a gem Friday evening. He still came up on the short end of a pitchers' duel.
The Fort Recovery senior allowed just four hits to the St. John's Blue Jays, but the Indian baseball team fell 1-0.
Metzger struck out seven batters and did not give up a walk. Still, St. John's managed to push across a run in the third inning as it dropped FRHS to 7-7-1 overall and 0-4 in the Midwest Athletic Conference.
Metzger also had one of the Tribe's five hits in the defeat. Frank Thien, Cody Fiely, Brady Kahlig and Nate Keller added one hit apiece.[[In-content Ad]]
