FORT RECOVERY — After dropping a pair of games Saturday the Fort Recovery softball team will have a couple of weeks to get back on track before entering tournament play.

The Indians, who had won three of their previous four, fell 12-7 and 8-7 Saturday to the Franklin Monroe Jets. In Sunday’s tournament seeding they lined up against No. 2 seed New Bremen, who they will play for a third straight sectional championship Thursday, May 11 at 5 p.m.

Tournament action at New Bremen will begin Wednesday, May 3 with Marion Local meeting St. Henry at 5 p.m. The winner of that game will play top-seeded Minster for a sectional title Tuesday, May 9 at 5 p.m.

The sectional champions will play in the district semifinal round at New Bremen Tuesday, May 16 at 5 p.m.

Fort Recovery (6-11) will learn a lot about its tournament fate during the next two weeks as it hosts St. Henry Tuesday, visits Marion Local Thursday and plays at New Bremen Thursday, May 4. It scored a 4-3 victory over Minster April 18.
