Trio of Indians honored
FRHS volleyball
The awards have come rolling in for the Fort Recovery High School volleyball team.
Three players earned District 8 honors Monday after being selected to the All-Midwest Athletic Conference team last week.
Nicole Pottkotter was named to the All-District 8 first team while Holly Brunswick picked up honorable mention. Pottkotter and fellow senior Chelsey Leuthold were selected to play in the District 8 All-Star match Wednesday.
Pottkotter earned All-MAC first-team honors while Brunswick was named to the second team and Leuthold earned honorable mention.
In her senior season, Pottkotter has been an all-around star for the Indians. She leads the team in assists (360), kills (246), blocks (54) and aces (36).
Brunswick, a junior, has also passed the 200-kill mark this year with 223. She is second behind Pottkotter on the Tribe squad with 39 blocks.
Leuthold, a senior, has totaled 138 kills this season.[[In-content Ad]]
