She succeeds Nancy Knapke, who is retiring effective Dec. 1.
"I learned from the best," Vaughn said this morning. "Nancy has been an outstanding mentor to me. I want to continue the success we have (at Fort Recovery Elementary)."
The daughter of Joe and Sharon Dues of rural Portland, Vaughn is a former varsity track coach at both JCHS and Fort Recovery High School. The past two years she has coached track at the middle school level.
"I'm so excited to take this next step in my career and do it here at Fort Recovery," said Vaughn. "It's been my dream."[[In-content Ad]]
