WAPAKONETA, Ohio - The Indians found their shooting touch in the fourth quarter. But it was not enough to overcome the first three.
Fort Recovery High School's girls basketball team, which got shut out in the third quarter, fell short 37-31 in the defensive slugfest to the Wapakoneta Redskins.
Wapakoneta led throughout the game, limiting the Indians (2-1) to 13 first-half points before blanking them 4-0 in the third quarter. The Indians scored more points in the final period than in the previous three, pulling to within four points on Nicole Pottkotter's 3-pointer with 3:25 remaining.
