Weighing in on Lugar, Mourdock
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
Last week Richard Mourdock was endorsed by Sarah Palin and pulled slightly ahead of Senator Lugar in the polls. At the same time, the American Action Network dropped out of the race.
This is the group that ran $600,000 in ads calling Mourdock a tax cheat.
They didn’t say why but it may have been for the heat they received for running a false and misleading TV spot.
The county admitted months ago that the error was their fault and Mourdock never applied for the extra tax credit.
Now a desperate Lugar has reached a new low.
His latest flyer is encouraging Democrats to cross over and vote for him in the primary. “The May 8th election is open to all voters. Indiana does not have Party Registration.”
It is a sad day when a six term Republican Senator is so desperate that he has to reach across the isle for support from liberals who applaud his votes for Gun Bans, Cap and Trade, Wall Street and union bailouts, amnesty for illegal aliens, and extreme left wing Supreme Court Justices.
I am voting for the real conservative in the race, Indiana State Treasurer Richard Mourdock.

To the editor:
Do we need intelligent, proven leaders in Washington? Our country needs Senator Lugar. Hoosiers need to vote on May 8th or vote early by absentee ballet.
Senator Lugar is a man of faith, integrity, and character.
Senator Lugar opposed Obama care, voted against it 32 times and co-sponsored legislation to fully repeal it.
Lugar first asked Indiana’s Attorney General to question Obamacare’s constitutionality, a case that is now before the Supreme Court.
Also, Lugar has consistently stood up for Hoosier taxpayers and opposed Obama’s big government spending.
Lugar voted against the failed stimulus plan, and voted against all of Obama’s bankrupting budgets.
Vote Tuesday, May 8th for Senator Richard Lugar to retain intelligent, proven leaders in our Nation.
Sincerely,
Linda Bawel
