Weighing in on Nov. race
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
I am getting really tired of reading media pundits who say Senator Lugar was defeated because he was too bi-partisan. In fact, as long as it doesn’t involve compromising basic principles or the Constitution, bipartisanship is a good thing.
Lugar was defeated because he had become an arrogant, out of touch, big spending, Washington insider who repeatedly voted for gun bans, cap and trade, amnesty for illegal immigrants, and extreme liberal judges.
On important votes he just didn’t represent his Republican constituents.
Now 5th District representative Joe Donnelly is running for the US Senate against Richard Mourdock and wants you to believe he will represent you in Washington.
But, with 67 percent of Hoosiers opposed to Obama Care, Beltway Joe caved under pressure from his party bosses and voted for it anyway.
This despite a promise never to vote for the bill with government funded abortion included.
Joe voted to make extreme left wing San Francisco liberal Nancy Pelosi next in line after Biden to be President of the United States and voted with her 88 percent of the time while she was speaker of the house.
Indiana State Treasurer Richard Mourdock will represent Indiana, not San Francisco and Washington D.C.
