Why the fuss on ethanol?
To the editor:
Why ethanol?
I myself have three vehicles - two cars and a truck. I can't burn this stuff in any of them. Maybe this alcohol will burn in new cars. Most laid-off workers and retired people on Social Security can't afford to buy these newer vehicles.
I have a friend (this is true) whose old truck had some ethanol put in it and it ate up some of his rubber gas lines. So what are we going to do with this alcohol? We need oil to make more gas and oil to make this world survive.
Were these 100 cars tested that were made only to use ethanol?
All I can say is God bless us all.

To the editor:
Glen and I think your readers should know that Bearcreek Farms opened its doors June 8 for Jay County Retired Teachers - even though the restaurant is closed on Monday.
After lunch - served by Affable Art - we walked across the driveway to the theater, where the Bearcreek Community Players treated us to scenes from Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, which opened June 11 (and continues through Sunday).
Thanks to Bearcreek Farms and Carla, who made the arrangements on such short notice, for good food and entertainment in pleasant surroundings.
