A big double-header has Heath Williams leading Manchester College in batting average.
Williams, a 2004 Jay County High School graduate, smacked three hits March 29 as the Spartans split a double-header with Rose Hulman. He went 1-for-3 with two RBIs in the opener, and added two hits and two runs in game two.
The senior is now hitting .318, with 21 hits in 66 at bats. He also leads the team with five stolen bases.
Williams has scored 12 runs to go along with four doubles and 10 RBIs.
Jill Roughia
Jay County - 2005
Won her lone individual March 29 at the Bluffton Beaver Invitational for the Huntington University women's track team.
Roughia turned in a solid first-place finish in the 3,000-meter steeplechase. She was 10 seconds ahead of the field, winning in 12-minutes, 35.21 seconds.
The junior also teamed with Laura Bowman, Lauren Davenport and Bethany McGraw to placed second in the 4x400 relay at 4:19.98.
Holly Stein
Fort Recovery - 2007
Also competed at Bluffton, finishing fourth and fifth in her events for the Defiance College women's track team.
Stein placed fourth in the women's shot put with a throw of 10.83 meters (35 feet, 6¼ inches). Her fifth-place effort came with a distance of 24.14 meters (79 feet, 2¾ inches) in the javelin.

Turned in two of the best times in school history as the Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology men's track team placed second March 29 at the Rhodes College Invitational.
Mitchell Thomas turned in the third-best time in school history in the 10,000 meters to finish in third place at 33-minutes, 14.3 seconds. Ian Thomas, Mitchell's twin, followed with the No. 4 time in school history for fourth place at 33:15.2.
Tyler Sprunger
South Adams - 2004
Turned in back-to-back scoreless outings for the Bluffton University baseball team.
Sprunger gave the Beavers a chance in both games, first holding Hanover scoreless for an inning in a 6-5 defeat. He gave up one hit.
The senior allowed a hit and no runs in 2/3 innings April 1 in an 11-10 loss to Manchester.
Joseph Vormohr
Jay County - 2006
Scored in four events for the Hanover College men's track team as it hosted the Hanover Invitational March 29.
Vormohr's best effort came in the shot put, where he placed fourth at 12.8 meters (42 feet). He was also fifth in the discus with a distance of 38.48 meters (126 feet, 3 inches) and eighth in the hammer throw at 36.52 meters (119 feet, 9¾ inches).
Alyssa Johnson

Placed fifth in her lone event March 29 as the Taylor University women's track team competed at the Emory Track and Field Classic.
Johnson, a sophomore, finished the race in 4-minutes 54.71 seconds to take fifth.
Josh Shatto

Took the loss Sunday as the Ancilla College baseball team fell 7-4 to Kalamazoo Valley.
