WJMS library to be dedicated to Glogas
Jay School Board
“His unselfish devotion to our community and our school is just unbelievable,” West Jay Middle School principal Mike Crull told the Jay School Board Monday.
Board members agreed, supporting Crull’s suggestion that the new library at the middle school be dedicated to longtime Dunkirk businessman and civic leader Leo Glogas.
“The new media center has encouraged students to use the resources in their quest for knowledge,” Crull said. “The library will encourage students to develop a passion for reading and expand their imagination to include people and events from all over the world.”
Glogas, said Crull, “has dedicated his life to assisting the children and citizens of our communities. … His commitment to education, respect for others, and community service were consistent with the core values that West Jay Middle School strives to instill into our students today.”
The board approved the move 6-0, and a dedication ceremony will be scheduled at a later date.[[In-content Ad]]
