Woman upset by thieves
Letters to the Editor
To the editor:
Why do people keep surprising me? They really don’t. If these people can steal from a graveyard, then they don’t mind walking into my front yard and stealing my 5-year-old grandson’s trampoline. It was a small one, but it was his. That’s pretty bad — stealing from a little child. It’s bad enough to steal from the one that’s passed on, but a thief is a thief. I guess a person needs a fence around their property with a guard dog.
I just don’t understand people and even less since I moved to town.
I guess it’s easier to just take what they want than to get a job.
What a sad world we live in.
Sincerely,
Barb Steed

PCC thanks
To the editor:
The Pregnancy Care Center would like to thank everyone who supported the 2010 Ride for Life.
We realize that times are tough. That makes your participation just that much more special.
From the faithful riders with hearts of gold to the businesses and churches that have continued to support us through the years, we could not make it without all of you.
You are the ones that keep our doors open and allow us to be there for the babies and families in need.
If only one life is saved, it is worth it.
I would like to specifically thank the following businesses:
•Food donations — Arby’s, Tyson and Ponderosa.
•Donations for door prizes — A Cut Above, AutoZone, Commonwealth Engineers, Crossroads Credit Union, Display Craft, First Bank of Berne, First Merchants, JaMar, Jay County REMC, MainSource, Mangino’s, NAPA, Payless Pizza, Pizza Hut, Pizza King, Renegade Customs, Taco Bell and True Value.
A special thanks to Melvin Helty and Bob Trader for collection of the prizes.
And a special thank you to Jim Jenney of Display Craft, for not only helping in the Ride for Life, but for the many other ways he continues to support the center time after time, asking nothing in return.
Words fall short of showing our sincere gratitude.
Thank you so much.
Melinda Bailey, vice president, for the Pregnancy Care Center Board: Carla Pogue, president; Denise Glentzer, treasurer; Glen Funk, secretary, Mike Eads, Dave McClellan and Mike Brewster[[In-content Ad]]
