World needs Jesus (05/29/08)
Letter to the Editor
To the editor:
I would like to express my concerns about the things that are happening around us. I know a lot of people who think the Bible is nothing but garbage or buy the bull. Well, if you look at the last book that is written we are living in those days. To determine which seals are open and which seals are yet to be opened should be more of a concern to us than the gas prices.
To refer back to the Bible, Revelation 6:6 reads, "and I heard a voice in the midst of the four beasts say, 'A measure of wheat for a penny, and three measures of barley for a penny, and see thou hurt not the oil and wine.'" Well, right now everything is getting high, but our wages are the same. I can't imagine the people that don't have the hope of Jesus. He is the answer.
He died for all our sins. The thing that gets me the most is yet when we were sinners he went through worse things than we saw in The Passion of the Christ. Can any of us die for strangers? He did so we can make it to a better place. You know, it also says for us not to have any other Gods before Him. Do you see what is happening to the countries that worship other Gods? What is it going to take for us to see that he is real?
You know what else? Sodom and Gomorrah got destroyed for the same things that are happening in this world today. The wrath of God is being loosed upon the world. When a woman becomes a man and marries a woman and and announces to the world that they are having a baby ... where are the morals? This world is a lot worse than Sodom and Gomorrah.
Another thing to consider is that when we Christians make it to heaven God is not going to look at how much we accumulated here on earth. The only thing that he will look at is if we are saved by the blood of Jesus and what did we do for him. The enemy is living amongst us. He is real and he is making sure that we keep our eye on our situation in life more than on Jesus. In the Bible it talks about the cares of this world will take us away for the word. The word became flesh and lived among us, so it means we will be too busy to take time for Jesus.
BUSY means being under Satan's yoke. He is attacking the ones on the front lines the hardest. Some churches give sugar for their messages. They don't want us to know we are in the last days. The Bible is real and the enemy is among us. Believe it before it is too late. Thanks for you time.
