Collegiate Check-up

Eme Miller had already proven herself as the best cross country runner in Defiance College history. Her performance Saturday just drove home the point.
The 2012 Jay County High School graduate earned NCAA Division III All-Region honors for the second straight year as she turned in the best effort in Defiance history on Saturday at the Regional Championships in Mason, Ohio.
Miller, who already held the school records in the 5K and 6K, broke her own 6K mark again. She finished in 22 minutes, 28.4 seconds, surpassing her previous mark of 22:34.19 and finished 22nd overall.
She had finished 25th at the regional meet last season.
