To the editor:
Over 200 people attended the 32nd Annual Holiday Benefit Auction at Arts Place, and $23,782.03 was raised to support our programs and services.
The auction is the kick-off event for the annual fundraising campaign.
The winner of the 50/50 drawing was David Blakely from Muncie.
The success of the auction was made possible by so many people. We would especially like to recognize:
•Loy Realty & Auction, Doug and Gary Loy and staff for providing the auctioneering services.
•Sara Farris, chair, and Mindy Weaver, co-chair, and their committee members Susann Gilbert, Anni McClung, Linda Frantz and Connie Roberts.
•The numerous businesses and individuals who donated sale items, door prizes, food and cash.
•The committee and the volunteers who solicited the donations.
•Delta Theta Tau Sorority for all of their help both for setting-up on Thursday, running items and handling the refreshment tables on Friday.
•Arts Place Board of Directors, for their part in donating food, Weaver Popcorn for donating popcorn for everyone attending, First Merchants Bank for sponsoring in-part our reception, Jay County Beverage, Glass Bonsai, Fisher Packing and ArborShire for their generous donations to the refreshments.
•Wine Stewards — Jim Burk and Greg Bouse
•The dedicated staff of Arts Place.
•And most importantly, the very enthusiastic and generous crowd who attended this year’s auction.
