The Jay County High School volleyball team pulled within one of the 20-win mark Tuesday with a 25-18, 25-17, 30-28 victory over the visiting Southern Wells Raiders.
The Patriots (19-4, 5-1 Allen County Athletic Conference) were in control in each of the first two games, but had to fight off a spirited Raider squad in the third. They took the lead when a Southern Wells shot when wide to the left, and then Abby Barcus slammed home a kill to end the match.
