Organization says thank you

To the editor:
Members of the Cincinnatus League of Portland would like to thank The Portland Foundation for its generous contribution toward the purchase of a new frostee machine to be used in the Cincinnatus booth at the Jay County Fairgrounds.
Our 27-year-old organization has provided more than $150,000 of financial support to at least 25 Jay County civic and charitable organizations. Our organization’s main purpose is to work toward the betterment of the Portland community through works designed to strengthen and enrich the quality of life for families and the elderly.
Our only source of revenue is the frostee booth located at Jay County Fairgrounds. This new funding will help our organization better meet its goal to serve families and senior citizens in the Jay County area.
The Foundation provides a vital service and helps to make Portland place where each of us can enjoy the satisfaction that comes from belonging to a community.
